Welcome to Ecoingot
We are building the Internet of Carbon – a platform enabling individuals to balance their environmental impacts one lifestyle choice at a time
Innovation. Information. Interaction. In your hands. Are you in?
Climate change and the effect humankind has on the environment is currently ranked as one of the most serious global issues among people aged 18 to 35. In research carried out 78.1% of this age group stated that they are willing to change their lifestyles to protect the environment.
Although this is a resounding message, the collective power of this group to make a real difference remains untapped. There lacks an efficient, relevant and effective platform to deliver a solid solution for taking positive actions against negative environmental impacts. The current options are disconnected, complicated or even non-existent.
What’s needed is a compelling, engaging and accessible platform that is simple to use, comprehensive in its sources and effective in its collective actions… and the Ecoingot platform fulfils this and more.
Ecoingot is an all-encompassing platform for balancing carbon impacts, accessed via our asset-matched crypto tokens.
We are developing a unique carbon data gathering methodology. This enables us to compile a powerful data-driven engine – called ECOSISTM.
ECOSISTM will deliver comprehensive and globally relevant on-demand carbon impact calculations.
These combined functionalities will allow Ecoingot to create the ‘Internet of Carbon’, designating a carbon impact value on everything. This will result in seamless integration with the Internet of Things.
Friendly interface integrates into user lifestyle
Powered by AI
Smart algorithms for carbon impact data gathering
Enabled by Blockchain
Transparent and efficient tracking of all EGTs & offsets
Decentralized Platform for Tokens and Smart Contracts
We are launching our EGT tokens from Malta as regulation-compliant Virtual Financial Asset (VFA) tokens and will be in compliance with the legal framework of the Virtual Financial Assets Act. EGTs are ERC20 tokens on the Ethereum blockchain and deployed via smart contract.
Each EGT token will be released with an assigned carbon value of 1kg CO2e to allow users to offset their lifestyle purchases and activities, by spending their tokens within our app.
All transactions and activity within the system will be managed by carefully programmed smart contracts. DLT technologies will be used to achieve high transparency and secure tracking of the offsets.

Professor Mike Berners-Lee
Mike is a Professor at Lancaster University and author of the books “How Bad are Bananas?” and “The Burning Question”.
He has extensive experience of developing carbon impact models and data gathering and has worked with a wide range of sectors, from supermarkets, to local councils to multi-national tech giants.
Renowned as a world-leader in carbon impact footprinting, Mike is an integral part of the development of our ECOSISTM and is developing the methodology that will be the foundation of our AI/ML-based data gathering.
‘How Bad are Bananas? The carbon footprint of everything’:
This book by Mike Berners-Lee is a highly readable and entertaining introduction to carbon footprints. The carbon datasets that are used at Ecoingot were prepared by Mike and his colleagues at Small World Consulting.
Chetcuti Cauchi has been instructed to guide Ecoingot throughout all aspects of our ICO.
The company is experienced in ICO set-up and advisory and will be our lead legal team to ensure smooth registration under the Maltese Virtual Financial Assets Act and compliance with all MFSA and MDIA requirements.
